Truck-Coach Accident in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 10 Logon Ki Maut, 8 Injured

Karak, Pakistan – A very tragic accident occurred when a passenger coach collided with a truck on Indus Highway, near Meetha Khel, Karak. 10 people were killed and 8 were injured in this accident. The passenger coach was going from Dera Ismail Khan to Peshawar when the accident occurred.
According to rescue officials, the injured people were taken to nearby hospitals. The accident once again raises questions about the condition of road safety in Pakistan.

Similarly, a few days before on 29 March, another truck collision took place on Daraban Road near Dera Ismail Khan in which 3 people died, including two brothers. Rash driving was said to be the cause of this accident.

In Karachi, traffic accidents have increased significantly due to heavy vehicles such as dumpers and water tankers. In 2024, about 500 people lost their lives and 4,879 people were injured due to these accidents, according to hospital data. ANP Sindh Chapter President Shahi Sayed said that these road safety issues are due to the administration and these are not ethnic issues.

These incidents show that it is very important to have stricter road safety rules and better infrastructure to prevent such tragedies.
