Chandigarh: AAP leader’s son dies in road accident, one injured

In a tragic road accident in Chandigarh, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Vikram Pundir’s son Uday Singh died. The accident occurred at Sector 38/40 light point at 9:45 pm on Thursday.

According to the police, 25-year-old Uday Singh’s motorcycle lost its balance and collided with a roadside iron pole. In this accident, his cousin, Sahil, who was just 14 years old and was sitting behind the bike, was lightly injured.

As soon as Police got the information about the accident spot, a team of ASI immediately admitted both of them to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, Chandigarh. But, tragically, Uday Singh lost his life during treatment. Sahil suffered minor injuries and his treatment is going on successfully.

Initial investigation has revealed that the motorcycle was moving at a very high speed and this accident could have happened due to sudden braking or any obstruction on the road. Police is trying to find out the real cause of the accident with the help of CCTV footage and other technical information.

According to Chandigarh Sector 39 SHO Chiranji Lal, the speed of the motorcycle was very high at the time of the accident, which could be the main reason for this accident.

This accident has come as a harsh lesson, which shows the importance of road safety and careful driving.

It is necessary for everyone to follow road safety rules and follow them regularly in Chandigarh.
