Cyberterrorism Alert: 18-year-old hacker takes down 50+ government websites in India!

🚨 Gujarat’s 18-Year-Old Hacker: School Fail, But Dangerous in Cyberterrorism!

The threat of Cyberterrorism is increasing day by day, and this time a shocking example of it was found in Nadiad, Gujarat. An 18 year old boy, who recently failed in Class 12 Science, carried out a cyberattack on 50+ Indian government websites. This is not a film story, but a truth which has been brought before the Gujarat ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad).

🔍 Who is this hacker?

This youth’s name is Jasim Shahnawaz Ansari. He did not pass school but learned programming and hacking tools using YouTube and GitHub. Jasim learned Python programming from YouTube and downloaded DDoS attack tools from GitHub. Using these tools, he targeted government websites through apps like Termux and Pydroid.

🖥️ How did the cyberattack happen?

Jasim and some of his friends together created a group on Telegram whose name was initially “EXPLOITXSEC” which later became “AnonSec”. These people used to perform DDoS attacks (Distributed Denial of Service) in which so much traffic is sent to the websites that they crash.

After the attack, these people would verify from checkhost.net and post anti-India messages along with screenshots in the Telegram group. One message was: “Hi, India, we just took down your shield and servers.”

🧨 Attack increased after Operation Sindoor

According to ATS, these attacks became more aggressive after Operation Sindoor. Operation Sindoor was launched by India in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. On 7 May 2025 alone, 20 government websites were attacked with the message:
“India may have started it, but we will be the ones to finish it.”

⚖️ Legal Action: FIR under Cyberterrorism

Gujarat ATS has filed an FIR in this case under Sections 43 and 66F of the Information Technology Act. Section 66F is specifically related to cyberterrorism, which is a serious offense.

⚠️ Is this the result of foreign influence?

At present, ATS is investigating whether Jasim and his associates were in contact with any foreign network. Digital tools, Telegram chats and online footprints are being analyzed.

🛡️ Conclusion: It is important to be cautious of Cyberterrorism

This case gives us a strong message – cyberterrorism is not just the work of skilled hackers. If today’s youth go in the wrong direction, they can carry out cyber attacks even without any formal training.

👉 The government should teach cyber awareness and digital ethics at the school level itself.

👉 Parents and teachers should also be alert if children seem to be more interested in technology, but are not getting proper guidance.

Cyberterrorism is a real threat, and to fight it we have to become smart and aware.
