2025 Toyota Fortuner Legender: Perfect Blend of Luxury, Power and Road Presence – Is it Worth Rs 50 Lakh?
The new Toyota Fortuner 2025 has finally been launched in the Indian market, and this time it is not only more powerful, but also more luxurious and smart. The Toyota Fortuner Legender, which is already a stylish and trusted name in the premium SUV segment, now comes with mild-hybrid technology and new features in 2025. But does it justify the price of above ₹ 50 lakh? Let’s find out in this special report…
Powerful Performance & Off-Roading Beast
The Toyota Fortuner 2025 has the same familiar 2.8L turbo diesel engine, which produces 204 PS of power and 500 Nm of tremendous torque. This engine is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 versions, along with manual and automatic transmission options.

The 4×4 drive system along with features like Eco, Normal and Power drive modes, Electronic Drive Control, Hill Assist Control and Downhill Assist Control make it a true off-roading champion.
Mild Hybrid Option – Neo Drive 48V
The Fortuner Legender now also has the option of a mild-hybrid system (Neo Drive 48V), which makes it a little more fuel efficient. The starting price of this version has been kept at ₹ 44.72 lakh.
Exterior Design – King of Road
The look of the Fortuner Legender is really worth seeing. The bold face like Lexus, dual-tone alloy wheels, Audi like dynamic turn indicators, full-LED headlamps and muscular bumpers give it tremendous road presence.
However, the rear side is largely similar to the standard Fortuner. Changes are limited to a black skid plate, sporty L-shaped bumper inserts and a gloss black strip connecting the tail lamps.
One drawback is that the Legender is available in just one colour option (Pearl White with Black Roof), while in the international market it is being sold in multiple colours like red and dark grey.
Interior – more Practical , less Premium
The Legender’s cabin comes in a dual-tone black and maroon theme, which gives a sporty and premium feel. But the lack of soft-touch materials on the dashboard and the outdated infotainment system take away the premium feel of the Rs 50 lakh price.

However, the build quality is solid and the comfort is good enough for long journeys. Features like ventilated front seats, powered driver seat, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting and wireless charger give a comfortable experience.
Second & Third Row – No Compromise in Space
The seats in the second row slide and recline, allowing space to be customized. Adults can also sit in the third row, but due to the knees-up position and low headroom, it is not comfortable for long distances. Perfect space for children and pets.
Tech & Features – Slightly Outdated, But Quite Functional
The Legender gets an 8-inch infotainment system which is neither very big nor very responsive. Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are wired, not wireless.
A 360-degree camera is now provided, which is very useful considering its large size. The driver display is a bit old but informative.
Many features like wireless charger, auto IRVM, cooled glovebox, ambient lighting and keyless entry have been provided.
Safety – Full Package with Toyota Trust
The Toyota Fortuner Legender comes standard with all the safety features – 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill assist, ISOFIX mounts and now also Toyota Safety Sense which includes advanced features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring and automatic emergency braking.
ASEAN NCAP gave the Fortuner a 5-star rating, which further increases the trust on its safety.
Final Verdict – Is Fortuner Legender 2025 Worthabl!
If your first priority is road presence, reliability and rugged usage, then the Toyota Fortuner Legender 2025 is a great option for you.
However, the premiumness of the interior and feature updates lag somewhat behind its rivals like the Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian. But the Fortuner name, resale value, and its powerful engines still make it a strong contender in the segment.
For Rs 50 lakh, you get powerful performance, unbeatable road presence and Toyota’s solid reliability.
So are you ready to rule the road with the most macho SUV of 2025?
